We are a Glasgow based sub-contractor providing Brick and Scaffolding Packages to major construction companies across Scotland.

Due to a busy pipeline of work and continued growth we are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join our established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for end to end service delivery often on occasion involving large complex projects. You will be responsible for managing the contractual finances to maximise profit and control costs in line with the Company’s Commercial Strategy.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar construction role and should be competent in their ability to deliver successful projects. Knowledge gained within commercial and traditional build sectors may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Attend Pre-Starts and Site Meetings
• Manage project and financial reporting including cost projection, monthly CVR’s, Interim Valuations and cost analysis
• Account forecasting
• Managing Sub-Contractor accounts
• Site revenue management
• Submission and agreement of accurate Final Accounts
• Support the Commercial Director
• Develop new opportunities to grow the business
• Assist in the management of the company in line with the strategic plan and develop and improve the delivery performance of the business
• Develop and maintain a personal network of clients and support the Directors in the development of marketing and business development.

Key Requirements

• A proven track record in providing commercial management of Major Commercial and Traditional Build Projects
• A degree in Quantity Surveying is desirable but not essential
• Qualified or working towards MRICS is desirable but not essential
• Strong IT skills are essential
